Our Elders
The Elders in the Lord's Church are tasked with watching over the spiritual well being of the members of His Church. Just as Christ told Peter, "Feed my sheep" in John 21:17, so also our Elders are tasked with feeding the sheep today. This role in the Church goes by different names in scripture; Shepherds, Elders, Pastors, Overseers and Bishops. Whatever name they take, the role stays the same... To be a shepherd to the flock and feed the flock.
Due to the important nature of this role, Scripture is very clear on what men should serve in this role. 1st Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9 tell us about the character of a man who could be appointed to the office as an Elder in the Church.
Ted Craig
Worship
Ted, appointed elder in 2018, came from Toledo, OH at the end of 2016 having worked for 40 years in the railroad industry and retiring from Amtrak as District Manager in 2005. Education was in primarily 2 colleges: Abilene Christian College and Eastern New Mexico University. He took Bible under Dr. Steve Eckstein at the ENMU Biblechair. He has worshipped with numerous congregations including serving as an elder in 3 congregations prior to coming to Keller.
Kelly Davis
Education
Kelly Davis was appointed as an Elder in 2008. He graduated from Harding University with a degree in Chemistry and a Master’s degree in Analytical Chemistry from Texas A&M University where he met his wife, Debbie. While living in Columbia, MO, he was deacon over finance for several years. Kelly and Debbie have both been involved with teaching both here and in Columbia. They have two adult daughters.
Myron Goins
Benevolence & Finance
Myron J. Goins has served as one of the shepherds of the Keller congregation since 2021. He is married to Joyce Goins, has 3 married children and 4 grandchildren. A teacher and public speaker from God’s word & various industry conferences as well as government policy events, Myron also serves as officer or director of several early-stage businesses in energy, aerospace, housing and finance. Following studies at Harding University, he earned a B.B.A. from the University of Memphis, an M.B.A. from Vanderbilt University, is a C.P.A. and C.T.A.
Gary Kiser
Evangelism & Missions
Gary Kiser was appointed as an Elder in 2008. He has been an engineer for over 30 years. In the past, Gary also worked 10 years as a Youth and Family Minister, was a foster parent for many years, eventually spending 4 wonderful years as a houseparent in a children’s home.
Chris Spinelli
Worship
Chris Spinelli has been a Keller church of Christ member since July 2020 and a member of the Lord’s church since 1998. Chris attended the United States Air Force Academy, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in computer science in 1996. He also has two master’s degrees, one in Computer Science and another in Strategic Studies. After graduating from college, Chris met his wife, Amy, and they were married in 1998. They have 3 children: Luke (attending Oklahoma State University), Simon (attending Tarrant County College while attaining pilot certificates), and Leigh (attending dual credit Tarrant County College). Chris works as a systems developer and pilot for air freight carrier FedEx Corporation. A teacher of God’s word, Chris enjoys spending time with his family, working with the Keller Youth Group, cycling, camping, and other outdoor activities.
Brandon York
Youth
Brandon York has been a member of the Keller church of Christ since September 2020 and the Lord’s church since 1994. Brandon earned a bachelor’s degree in human resources from Harding University in 2003. While at Harding, Brandon met his wife, Lindsay, and they were married in March 2004. They have 3 children, Timothy (attending Harding University), Charlotte, and Caroline. The family has lived in the Fort Worth area since 2018. Brandon works in contract management for aerospace company Bell Flight. Brandon enjoys spending time with his family, softball, and working with the Keller Youth Group and with the children’s activities including often serving as the teacher for youth bible classes.
